Differentiate ME Logo Design Project
I was honored to be asked to create a logo for this new up-and-coming Decor & Design company in Bangor, Maine!
Scope of Project: To create a logo in three different formats for use in various media.
The Challenge: To create a distinctive logo for Differentiate ME. The logo needed to have a minimalistic look and become easily recognizable within the decor and design industry.
My Approach: I researched other design companies in Maine and beyond to see what kinds of logos they used. We wanted our logo to be distinctive. I noticed that many companies were using minimalistic monogram styles and geometric shapes for their logos. Given the business's long name (Differentiate ME), I encountered some difficulty thinking in a minimalist way. Eventually, I decided that a badge-style logo would be best because it could incorporate their name and what they do in a circular design. My clients were particularly drawn to the idea of a mustard-yellow chair, and although we were unsure whether it would work while still maintaining a minimalist look, I believe we achieved it! I am confident that the logo I created will set them apart from other design businesses. Throughout my research, I couldn't find another company that uses a yellow chair in its logo. Additionally, I included both horizontal and vertical versions of their logo (see below). I wanted to ensure they had a logo suitable for various media.
